Life Hacks: Beauty Edition

Okay, so, everyone’s got some tricks and tips up their sleeves. And my mom’s a beauty expert, so she let me in on these super awesome beauty life hacks. Today, you’re going to need: hairspray and clear nail polish. These tricks are awesome to use when you don’t know what to do. 

First:

REMOVE STAINS ON CLOTHES WITH HAIRSPRAY 

Maybe I lied a bit. While this won’t remove them instantly, it will keep the stain from setting in. Instructions: Take a bottle of hairspray and the article of clothing that has a stain in which you want to get rid of. (Note: it has to be a fairly recent stain.) Spray it several times until the whole stained area is covered. This will keep the stain from setting in. Next time you wash it, it will come right out. The chemicals in the hairspray block the stain from permanently staining your shirt. Awesome, right? You can do this with just about any type of hairspray, but this is what I am currently using:

Second:

COAT YOUR EARRING POSTS WITH CLEAR NAIL POLISH TO STOP IRRITATION 

Perhaps you’re allergic to the steel on your earring posts. It sucks, right? Buying beautiful earrings and then putting them in and your ear starts to feel like it’s on fire and it gets itchy and . . . well, you get the point. If you’re allergic to the type of material on the posts of your earrings, have no fear. Instructions: Grab your earrings and a bottle of clear nail polish. Coat your earring posts with it, apply a generous amount. Wait at least twelve hours to dry and for the chemicals to set in. This will coat the steel, so you can wear your favourite earrings with absolutely 0% irritation. Go give it a try! You can use any type, but this is the type that I prefer at the moment:
