Meeting Tana Mongeau

Hello, bloggers!

I hope everyone is getting ready for the long weekend and unfortunately, for summertime to be done and over with. On the bright side of things, fall and winter are the absolute best times of the year for so many reasons. But more on that later.

About a month ago, I bought tickets to see the Tana Mongeau & Friends tour in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for August 10th. I bought them totally on impulse, but it was the best impulsive decision that I’ve ever made in my life. I bought them online the night before, called Jacob, and said, “Hey. We’re going to Toronto tomorrow to see that  YouTuber that I really like.” Of course at first he was confused, but I think it turned out great in the end.

So who is Tana Mongeau? A girl who got famous on the internet by posting videos of her telling stories about her life in a comedic, sassy way is the best way I can think of to describe her. She’s only 19 years old, been on YouTube for less than 3 years and has accumulated over 2,000,000 subscribers. She’s been on two three tours (two of her own), has her own merchandise and is very popular.

She is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but one thing is for sure: she’s entertaining and is good at getting people interested in what she has to say, whether in a negative or positive light.

The day of the show, Jacob and I drove four hours to get there and checked in at our hotel. After a quick touch up, we were out the door and driving to the venue. I bought meet and greet passes, but next time I will definitely do VIP. We waited in line for almost two hours, just to meet her for less than two minutes. Was it worth it? For someone who is a dedicated fan, for sure. I wish I could have spent more time chatting with her, but I am definitely still happy I got to meet her.

The venue was at “The Opera House” in Toronto, a venue slash bar slash restaurant scene. The line for general admission and meet and greet stretched all the way down the street. Although her videos can contain quite raunchy material, I was surprised that the majority of her fans were actually very young, most being underage.

As for the actual meet and greet, I must say, she is an extremely sweet girl. She definitely knows how to reel her fans in and make each and every one feel appreciated. When I went up to meet her, she said: “Oh my God, this girl is so hot. Is your mind blown at how hot this girl is right now?” Tana also fed me some ego boosting compliments such as, “I love your outfit” and “You smell so good.” She also told me numerous times that she loved me which warmed my heart. Tana rubbed my back as we took pictures. I mean, who doesn’t love that?! Tana is amazing with her fans, and no one can deny that.

The workers at the venue were quite rude. They seemed rushed, and were being very harsh to the venue goers. I was rushed and screamed at to hurry up; perhaps they were not expecting the large outcome and therefore had to rush the meet and greet process. Tana handled it fantastically, as she herself looked rather annoyed by the workers. They screamed for me to get going as I was trying to explain to her that my boyfriend let me have his picture for the meet and greet as I am a bigger fan than he is. As they yelled at me to get going, Tana said, “Okay, can we not yell, can we just communicate, please?” Tana, girl, you rock.

The show itself was lighthearted and quirky as her and her friends told some scandalous stories on stage, and of course Tana was her fearless, outgoing, I-don’t-give-a-shit self as for always.

All in all it was an amazing experience that Fullscreen Live put on, and I would recommend it to anyone. Hopefully one day, Tana and I’s paths will cross again .  .  .

Bad-ass Pens

Hello bloggers, and happy July 2017! I was at Indigo in the mall the other day and just happened to stumble across these hilarious pens. As it says on the back of the packaging: “Can’t decide if you need a hug, a shot of vodka, a venti coffee or two weeks of sleep? Push through your woes with these struggle bus pens.” I just had to get them. It was $14.00 for the pack of 6, and they all say hilarious things on them like “Venti Vodka Please” and “Is It Friday Yet?” Perfect for work, school, doodling, or writing in your diary. Click here to shop these awesome pens and get writing today!

Starbucks’ Cold Brew with a Chocolaty Twist

coldr

For all of the Starbucks lovers out there:

Looking for a refreshing new drink to try this spring? Starbucks has a delicious cold brew coffee beverage, and you can add different kinds of flavor shots to customize the drink to your liking. Hazelnut, vanilla, and my personal favorite, mocha. The mocha gives it a chocolaty twist, and for chocolate lovers like me, it makes the drink taste a million times better. Also, for a lighter taste, ask for your cold brew to be made with milk. Next time you’re at your local Starbucks, ask the barista for a shot in your cold brew! (Flavor shots may vary depending on your location).

Hello everyone, I have some exciting news for my YouTube channel! I barely have uploaded at all in the past year, because as we all know, life is crazy and has unexpected twists and whatnot so I was unable to fully commit for a while. But I am ready to make more videos! Videos will consist of various game plays and more! “Five Nights at Freddy’s” videos were definitely the most popular, and I still have not beat the second game yet. Yep, I have a lot of work to do still. Jacob and I were also in the middle of playing “Life is Strange” that we will continue, as well as “Yooka-Laylee” and more!

So thank you for subscribing and liking our game play videos; there will be more to come this springtime!

YouTube Update: Complete Channel Redo

Hi bloggers! I have just a quick announcement to make; for a few months now I debated wiping my channel out and mass deleting, like, half of my videos. My channel is honestly a mess: I thought it would be a good idea to not have a main focus (make-up, gaming, etc) and just do a bit of everything. Turns out, it’s harder to find an audience that way. All my non gaming videos get as many dislikes as likes, and I find it hard to find a loyal audience when I keep switching my video themes. Also, a lot of my videos I was a bit embarrassed about. For example if someone was to find them that I know from work or school, I wouldn’t be proud of it. So I was thinking: Why keep something online that I am not proud of and wouldn’t share with anyone who would listen?

Therefore, I am going to delete a bunch of them and only keep ones that I love as much to share. Thanks to the 28,000 people that do support my channel and I. I really appreciate it!

Adorable Goodies: Macaroon Bath Bombs

The other day I was looking around the mall when I popped into Ardène and went to their accessory/beauty section. Immediately I noted their adorable products, mostly their bright pink macaroon bath bombs. At first I wasn’t sure what it was because I had never seen a bath bomb shaped as a macaroon before. And I fell in love! The scent is super sweet and girly, leaving you feeling silky smooth with a hint of candy smelling sweetness. Plus, the shape is a bright pink macaroon. What’s not to love?!

You can pick these up at Ardène for $6.50 CAD each. Maybe next time they’ll make a pizza bath bomb. Now that would be perf.

Zoella Beauty Products Review

Zoella Beauty Products Review

Hello everyone! It’s been quite a while since my previous blog post, but I decided to get back into the hang of things with a review from one of my favourite bloggers and YouTubers: British blogger and style icon, Zoe Sugg, also known as Zoella. She has been so successful from her 2009 breakthrough on the web and since then has made a brand for herself. I decided to pick up a few of her most notable items and decided to give them a try. Here’s my 100% honest review! Enjoy! 🙂

Zoella Lace Collar Purse

img_2183

This purse was definitely one of the items that I was most excited for. I mean, look how perfect it is. It is elegant, a royal blue shade, has Zoella’s signature writing, and it looks glossy. And it is all of those things, though I was disappointed in the size. I had planned to fit a lot of makeup in it and use it as a makeup bag, but it’s about the size of a clutch purse. I made use out of it by storing beauty blenders inside. This item is absolutely adorable, good quality, and a must have for all beauty and Zoella fans. Definitely a great buy.

Zoella Soak Opera Bath & Shower Cream

img_2186

When they say bath & shower cream, they’re not kidding around. This is seriously the creamiest bath & shower product I have ever used. A lot of shower gels are really liquidy, like the ones you get from Bath & Body Works. But this one is so creamy and lathers into your skin. When you’re taking a bath, you can feel your body soaking up in this delicious treat. The fragrance is very soft and subtle. What I like about it is, it’s a new take on scents for women. A lot of products these days are either really sweet smelling like candy or smell of cheap perfume but this one smells like a very elegant, beautiful, feminine fragrance which I absolutely love.

Zoella Fizz Bar Squares

Much like the Zoella Soak Opera cream, this fizz bar has an amazing feminine fragrance and makes bath time the best time. It makes your bath smell amazing, your skin soft and lightly fragranced and has a calm, soothing aroma that fills your tub and leaves you with high spirits. Again, another great buy.

All in all, Zoella Beauty products are amazing and I can’t wait to check out more of her stuff. She also released a new line lately that are products for your home including pillows, journals, pencils, and more. Stay up to date with Zoella and her lifestyle and beauty products by clicking here.

Thanks for reading! xoxo

Frappuccino With Cake Pop Blended In: REVIEW

Hey everyone! I hope you have all had an amazing summer. I haven’t made a single post since April and it’s because a lot of crazy stuff has been happening in my life lately. (Which some of you may know about if you follow my YouTube channel). Some bad, some good. Anyway, enough about that, that will be in another blog post!

So anyway, you guys know I am obsessed with all things Starbucks, right? I’ve always loved frappuccinos and cake pops and always hear about cake pops being blended in to the frappuccino to create some kind of super drink yet I’ve never tried it myself. But this summer I tried a lot of different things at Starbucks, including, (but not limited to), Affogato style shots, bananas blended in, espresso shots, different powders, and different syrups. Therefore I decided tonight would be a good night to try a cake pop blended in to my favourite drink.

Now normally I do get the venti size (because go big or go home), but since I’m not made of money and cake pops are $2.00 I decided to go with a grande mocha frappuccino and get a chocolate cake pop blended in. Total = $7.80

But totally worth it.

I know a lot of people prefer vanilla bean frappuccinos with a birthday cake pop blended in, but me being a lover of all things chocolate and coffee decided to get the mocha frappuccino and blend in a chocolate cake pop. I am so happy I did, it was delicious. However if you do go for a venti size, it will take 2 to 3 cake pops to get the same effect as a grande with 1 cake pop did.

Similar to java chips but a lot better in my opinion. There’s no cake chunks as it is thoroughly blended but every last sip is loaded with delicious, cake flavour, and once in a while you get the odd cake bit to enjoy. My final verdict is: You need to get out there and try one.

I Was In A Car Accident

Hey guys! I was driving with my boyfriend a few weeks ago, when an old man just made a left out of literally no where and slammed right into me. He tore my bumper right off and I had to bring it into an auto shop that ended up costing $4,000 (thank God for insurance). It was a pretty scary experience, especially since it was my first car accident (and hopefully last . . . one can hope). To watch the full story please click on the video below:

Drive safe guys! There’s crazy drivers out there! xoxo
