One of the best summer treats are s’mores. They are perfect for camping, parties, or just hanging out at home in your pyjamas. Now that this summer has been partially ruined due to COVID-19, many of us are finding ourselves stuck at home rather than attending typical summer bonfires. Luckily, you don’t need a fire to make this tasty treat! This recipe is super easy and serves four people (or less — I won’t tell). All you need is some graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate chips, a cake pan, and a broiler.
2 cups unsweetened chocolate chips
250 grams of marshmallows (approximately 24 marshmallows)
1 box of graham crackers or graham wafers
Turn broiler on high.
Cover bottom of cake pan with chocolate chips. Spread evenly.
Place marshmallows upright around cake pan until there are no visible gaps.
Place into oven and broil for 3-5 minutes or until marshmallows are golden brown. The time can be adjusted depending on your broiler, but don’t leave it in for too long or your marshmallows will burn.
Dip using graham crackers and enjoy!
Have fun making this easy and yummy recipe. Let me know in the comments below how it went! xoxo
This summer has been scorching hot. If you find yourself too busy to head down to the beach, try baking some beachy summertime themed sugar cookies instead! Tip: If you have different shaped cookie cutters, be sure to use them and incorporate them into your summery treats.
Ingredients (For Cookies):
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
Cookie cutters (optional)
Ingredients (For Icing):
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp meringue powder
3 tbsp water
Assorted food colours
Directions For Sugar Cookies:
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
With either an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, combine the butter and sugar and mix for two minutes until light and fluffy.
Scrape the sides and add your egg and vanilla. Finally, add the flour and baking powder.
Keep mixing until all ingredients are well mixed into the dough. The dough may have a dry appearance but still continue to mix. You may add water if you find it becoming too dry in texture. The texture should be that of Play-Doh.
Roll out sugar cookie dough to 1/4″ (0.6 cm) onto a lightly floured surface or cooking board. If using cookie cutters, begin to cut out the desired shapes of your dough.
Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes or until cookies turn golden brown.
In a bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water until blended. Scrape side of bowl with rubber spatula. Increase speed to medium―beat until soft peaks form, about 10 minutes. Icing should be stiff enough to hold its shape when piped. Thin with more water, if needed.
Tint icing with food colouring as desired―keep surface covered with plastic wrap to prevent drying out.
Making Your Summertime Themed Sugar Cookies:
Once your cookies are done baking, sprinkle a bit of sugar on them if desired. Then using your icing, you can let your creativity run wild and create anything you wish. This can include a beach, flip-flops, sunglasses, pineapples―literally anything you can think of!
Enjoy! Be sure to stay cool out there in this heat. XOXO
Hello, as promised I am back from Orlando, Florida to tell you about my time and also post pictures of animatronics and stuff like that. Thus far I have two videos on my channel regarding my trip, but fear not because there are plenty more to come. I just have to edit them and stuff. We had a lot more footage; Jacob accidentally deleted it and we are also recovering a lot of footage that was corrupted. (Thank God for file recovery programs.) I shall post the videos below:
The hotel was extremely fancy, we didn’t know but it was like a five star hotel and the only people that were there were: rich old people, young girls with their sugar daddies, and twenty year old whinny girls whose rich parents bought them a vacation. So yeah, not one person was nice there. People in Detroit were so much nicer than people in downtown Orlando. It was still a nice place to stay, though, even though 9/10 people were stuck up.
Downtown Orlando is a scary place. People always tell you that Florida inhabits nice old retired couples and families on vacation. But the truth of Orlando is very far from that. It’s like the city of party animals. (At least the downtown area is). Seriously, there’s clubs and bars and cigar shops and that’s pretty much it. Help.
We went to this burger place and the guys working there looked so creepy that I actually didn’t even order anything (though I did eat off of Jacob’s plate . . . because I was that hungry, okay?!)
Putting all of that aside, let’s just focus on the main reason why we travelled down there in the first place: (and FYI, the weather in Orlando was the exact same weather that we have during the summertime here in Canada. There was literally no difference.) TO SEE THE ROCK-AFIRE EXPLOSION! And it was amazing. If you ask me what my fave part of the entire experience was (other than my skit), well, here you go:
I’m obsessed with the Wolf Pack 5, which is the band that came before the Rock-afire Explosion. The lead female vocalist, Mini Mozzarella, is my all time favourite. She may even be my favourite animatronic, period. She’s cute, gorgeous, beautiful, sweet . . . The list could go on and on. But they were being sold, a video was put up in March about them being dragged out from their crates that they lived in since 1980. It was a sad moment for me, knowing that they were going to be sold and I wouldn’t get to see Mini at my tour. “If only we had gone months earlier.” I had told Jacob. “She’s not going to be there . . . why would Aaron sell them?!” I had said. She was my fave, and I wouldn’t get to meet her, and that was a devastating thing for me. So on August 14, it was a cold rainy day in Orlando. We walk into Creative Engineering, and what’s the very first thing that I see? MINI FUCKING MOZZARELLA. (Excuse my language. It was just a very happy time for me.) Of course I fanned my face excitedly, ran over to her and grabbed some pics. It’s an awkward moment when a robotic mouse is much hotter than you are. And she was naked, but that was okay. But still, I got to see her and the rest of the WP5! That was good luck on me, because they were supposed to be sold back in June but the guy that bought them got arrested. So, score.

My reaction to finding out that I sat in the same chair as Rick Bailey. Or was it my reaction to being in love with Beach Bear?
Rolfe has a huge ass.
Beach Bear is looking at me!
My dad kissing Mitzi.
“Oh Beach Bear, you are so funny!”
“Mitzi, you can hate all you want, but Beach Bear and I are in love.”
So there you have it. More pictures/videos are yet to come! xoxo
Hey everyone! Today I uploaded a video on YouTube telling you guys about my five favourite bath and body gift sets of all time. Along with the video, I will also be sharing with you guys the links to go check out and purchase these awesome products.
This is very late because the fireworks were in June. But I remembered that last year I made a post about them, and how can you not? Fireworks are awesome, they’re definitely worth posting about. This year, it was raining the day of and many thought they’d have to postpone it. Luckily, the rain stopped just hours before, but they had to make it at nine instead of ten. Therefore it was still pretty light outside which took away the dramatic effect, but the fireworks were still awesome nonetheless. Yes, they still had cool shapes this year, like smiley faces and hearts. And yes, the ending was actually better than the other years. It sounded like a million gunshots going off at once for at least a minute, it was pretty intense. The people made me think of myself as a young child, covering my ears to protect them from the loud noise. Hey, it was pretty loud.
Then a couple of days later, we went back downtown to go to the carnival. I actually forced myself to go on a big ride (after hours of debating). It was very fun. Fun rides, good company, nice scenery, and tasty food (and the best cherry lemonade you’ll ever have).
Summer is really fun so far! My boyfriend and I are extremely excited to go to Florida in August. Maybe some of you know why. 😉
I hope you’re all having a great summer so far! Stay safe and have fun! xx
Hello bloggers! So I’ve been thinking for a few days now: how am I going to write my Toronto/Niagara Falls blogs? I did and saw so much that it would be hard to put it all into one blog. After all, I’m not a travel blogger. (They travel the world lots then write about all they see/do.) I’m more of a, book/quotes/tips/reviews, etc blogger. And of course I didn’t want to just pile everything into one blog. Whenever I see an extremely long blog, I begin to yawn and immediately close the page. I know how tiring it can be to see a long blog, and overwhelming—sometimes, you just don’t have the time to sit there that long. Because of this, I decided to divide my blog up into three parts: travel and hotels, sights and attractions, and food and miscellaneous. Thank you, and thanks to all of the wonderful Torontonians out there. ❤
A few weeks ago, I went to the annual fireworks show at the Detroit River. They were the best this year out of every year so far! Some of the fireworks were shaped as hearts and smiley faces, which was pretty cool.
at the Detroit River.
I hope you’re all having an awesome summer so far. Sincerely,
Today, is June 21st. That also marks the first day of summer! No more stressing over school or exams, and getting tons of time off! Whether you’re taking summer courses, working, hanging out with friends, going on vacation, or simply just staying home watching Netflix, summer break is always an awesome time for all. As for me, this summer is going to be the busiest summer yet. I’m taking an online course, taking driver’s ed, working, going on tons of trips, stepping into the process of publishing the final copy of my book, spending time with family, friends, and my boyfriend, and somewhere in between, trying to find some “me” time. Hope everyone has a great summer! I already spent some time at the beach, and went canoeing!
